MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of St. Monica Catholic School is to provide all students a challenging academic curriculum within a program where Christian values reflecting God's love are taught, practiced, and ever present.

PHILOSOPHY

Our school recognizes each pupil as a valuable person created by Almighty God and as such, is entitled to the best efforts of the faculty in educating him/her. Through the curriculum and Catholic teachings we hope to lay the foundation necessary for your child(ren) to go on to become useful and worthwhile citizens. Each child lives and interprets every moment in the ongoing procession of school activity from the only vantage point accessible to him..... his own needs and background of experience. It is our aim to know and understand these needs and background in order to help each child realize his/her potential.

As stated by Pope John Paul II to Catholic Educators, “It is the school’s task to cultivate in students the intellectual, creative and esthetic faculties of the individual...to promote in them a sense of values; to encourage just attitudes and prudent behavior; to introduce them to the cultural patrimony handed down from previous generations; to prepare them for their working lives, and to encourage the friendly interchange among students of diverse cultures and backgrounds that will lead to mutual understanding and love.”
